Combo Fertility Tea: Heal Blocked Fallopian Tubes? Part I

*You can read this post in languages available on Google Translate!

When it comes to natural remedies for infertility, many women in Nigeria and across Africa turn to a mixture popularly known as “Combo” or Combo Fertility Tea. It is a herbal blend believed to support reproductive health, increase chances of conception, and in many cases, help with blocked fallopian tubes when combined with other natural remedies.

If you are struggling with tubal blockage, fertility teas (including the Combo blend) can be one of your most powerful tools in gradually overcoming the problem. This means it is important to be aware of them and to consistently use fertility teas that support uterine health and help clear obstructions. A woman who patiently prepares her teas daily using trusted herbs or spices, takes them regularly, and complements them with other remedies is far more likely to experience tubal clearance within a few months—unlike someone who neglects consistent follow-up.

In this article, I will define Combo, explain its purpose, explore whether it works for blocked tubes, highlight why women keep using it, share recipes, discuss duration of use, possible side effects, and provide references for further reading.

Fertility Tea(Combo) for tubal obstruction

1. What Is Combo Fertility Tea?

Combo fertility tea is a traditional herbal mixture commonly used in West Africa for women’s reproductive health. The name “Combo” comes from the combination of multiple herbs believed to detoxify the womb, improve ovulation, regulate hormones, and in some cases, clear blocked fallopian tubes when applied with other remedies.

2. Purpose of Combo Fertility Tea

The primary purposes of Combo include:

  • Boosting fertility by cleansing the reproductive system.
  • Regulating menstruation and improving ovulation.
  • Managing infections that may cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), a major cause of tubal blockage.
  • Enhancing uterine health to prepare the womb for conception.
  • To resolve tubal blockages

3. Is Combo Effective for Blocked Fallopian Tubes?

Scientific evidence is very limited. While many of the herbs used in Combo have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties (which may help in cases where blockage is caused by infection or adhesions), there is no clinical trial confirming Combo as a cure for tubal blockage.

However, testimonials from women show that some have conceived after using it with other remedies, particularly in cases where the blockage was mild or caused by infections. Since 2020, I have guided more than 20 women in using Combo and other natural remedies to clear adhesions and hydrosalpinx obstructing their tubes. As of this writing, 11 are already mothers, and a 12th is an expectant mom. This is why I can confidently say that Combo, along with other natural remedies, when used patiently and consistently, can support tubal healing.

To boost the effectiveness of Combo, especially in tough cases like hydrosalpinx, I recommend combining it with other remedies and herbal preparations. Personally, I use about four different herbs that target fluid buildup in the tubes and support detoxification. Over time, these wastes clear out, and the hydrosalpinx can gradually disappear.

If your tubes are blocked and you want to open them naturally, you need a consistent, multi-step approach. This includes making and taking fertility teas like Combo daily, along with complementary practices such as Castor Oil Therapy, Yoga, Fertility Massage, Juicing, Acupuncture, Fertility Cleansing, and Purging. When these remedies are combined with Combo tea, a woman greatly increases her chances of unblocking her tubes.

Unfortunately, some women wrongly believe that these additional remedies are unnecessary or ineffective. By ignoring them, they only make the process of opening their tubes longer and more difficult. For those with blockages caused by adhesions, drinking herbs alone is not enough. You need to actively include Fertility Massage, Castor Oil Therapy, Yoga, and enzymes like Serrapeptase.

Can massage really make a difference in breaking down adhesions? Yes. Read my detailed post on Fertility Massage here.

4. Why Women Keep Using Combo

Despite the lack of formal scientific approval, women continue using Combo because of:

  • Affordability compared to hospital procedures.
  • Accessibility — the raw materials can be bought from local herbalists and made at home.
  • Cultural trust in traditional medicine.
  • Personal success stories shared in communities and online.
  • Hope — especially for women who cannot afford IVF or surgery.

5. Common Recipes for Combo Fertility Tea

While ingredients vary, here are some common recipes:

  • Recipe 1 (Fertility Cleanse Combo):

    • Garlic
    • Ginger
    • Cloves
    • Lemon
  • Recipe 2 (Strong Womb Detox Combo):

    • Uda (Negro pepper)
    • Uziza seeds
    • Ginger
    • Honey
  • Recipe 3 (My favorite)- Garlic, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cloves, Turmeric, Aidan, Beetroot and Lemon. To this I may also add Parsley, Alligator pepper, Goat weed etc.

There are many variations of Combo recipes, but I have listed only three. Personally, I use Recipe 3 for both adhesions and hydrosalpinx. For hydrosalpinx specifically, I alternate Recipe 3 with three other herbal mixes, and in most cases, I see the desired results within 6–9 months. If you truly want herbs to work for you in clearing hydrosalpinx, you need to rotate two or three different herbal combinations. Relying on just one Combo recipe or a single fertility tea for many months is unlikely to bring positive results.

Note for Recipe 3: Aidan is not available in some part of the world. If that's your case, here are plants you can use to replace it: Astragalus, Calendula or Dandelion roots.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, taking Combo or other herbs alone is not enough to unblock your tubes. You also need to eat clean, make dietary adjustments, include physical therapy, and remain consistent with your daily routines.

With the success many women have experienced in overcoming adhesions and hydrosalpinx using Combo alongside other natural remedies, I am happy to share Recipe 3 with you. I did not invent this recipe, but I can confidently say it is very effective.

6. How Long Should Combo Be Used?

Most herbal practitioners recommend using Combo for 2–3 menstrual cycles (about 2–3 months) while monitoring changes. For maximum effect, alternate Combo with two or three other herbs. One of them must be a laxative herb. Do not take Combo continuously without breaks, as prolonged use may stress the liver and kidneys.

Moreover, for bilateral hydrosalpinx, it is important to have two or three different herbal mixes to alternate with. Take one herbal mix for two weeks, then switch to another, and after another two weeks, move to a third. By rotating your herbs in this way, you prevent your body from developing resistance to any single formula—including the Combo recipe.

7. Possible Side Effects of Combo Fertility Tea

While considered natural, Combo can have side effects such as:

  • Stomach irritation due to strong spices and bitter herbs.
  • Menstrual changes — heavier or painful flow in some women.
  • Allergic reactions to ingredients like cloves or ginger.
  • Drug interactions if taken with antibiotics or fertility medications.

Women with ulcers, liver problems, or pregnancy should use caution and consult a professional before taking Combo.

Be Proactive

Combo fertility tea is a popular natural remedy that many women rely on in their fertility journey, especially in Nigeria. While it may help in certain cases of infection-related blocked fallopian tubes, it is not a scientifically proven cure and may not work for everyone especially when that's the only thing a woman is relying on.

Women considering it should do so with caution, proper dosage, and medical guidance.

If you’re dealing with blocked fallopian tubes, the most effective path forward is a balanced approach—combining medical tests, professional guidance, and safe natural remedies. By working on multiple fronts, you greatly improve your chances of success. Depending on herbs alone—even Combo—is rarely enough, but when integrated with other proven steps, your journey becomes far more promising.

The common belief that simply drinking large amounts of Combo or a mix of herbs and supplements is all a woman needs to resolve tubal blockage is unfounded. Do not make that mistake if you want to succeed in clearing your tubes with natural remedies. Read this post to find out why you shouldn't depend on drinking herbs alone as your only solution to tubal blockage.

Relying solely on herbal drinks has not been proven to clear uterine blockages. This is one reason why many women’s fallopian tubes remain blocked despite trying different kinds of herbs. 👉 Read Why Only 1 in 5 Women Succeed in Unblocking Fallopian Tubes Naturally Within 6–12 Months

In Part 2 of this series, I will explain how to properly prepare and use Combo tea for tubal obstruction. In Part 3, I will share other effective recipes that can be rotated with Combo to gradually resolve blocked fallopian tubes—especially hydrosalpinx. While blockages caused by adhesions often require minimal herbal support, hydrosalpinx usually needs a stronger herbal approach. Successful treatment involves not just herbs but also complementary remedies such as clean dieting, Castor Oil Therapy, Juicing, and Purging.

If you have hydrosalpinx and have not yet been taking fertility teas, now is a good time to start with Combo. And remember—pairing these teas with other natural remedies greatly improves your chances of healing your tubes.
